well heres the post youve all been waiting for. both of my front motor mounts have almost ripped off of the frame. i noticed a slight rattling noise when shifting between reverse and forward. it felt and drove fine but good thing i found it before it was completely ripped off. so instead of having fun today im working.....oh well thats all part of being a sunl owner, lol . im gonna go weld it back togethor and put some extra supports so hopefully this wont happen again. just keeping you guys posted.

Looks like they left a nice bead but didn't get enough heat to penetrate the metal. I remember seeing a great example of this in my welding course. darn I wish these guys had a better work ethic... :(

im almost back in buisness..this wasnt how i planned to spend my weekend but @#%$ happens. i bent up a steel plate so it would wrap around the bottom of the brace for extra support...dave

What would you call it a flaw in design or error?

I would call it a flaw in workmanship. The weld looks bad.

Good job on coming up with something that should hold up.

Forget my other post in the other thread. I hadn't read this before.

IF it happens when going forward you need to tighten your chain if it happens after you switch in to revearse that is normal.

mine did that too. your chain is probably too tight. me and my friend just got ours about a month ago,and they have had numerous similar problems. so most likely these things will happen to yours. i strongly suggest you read through my posts and see all our problems and fixes so far. it will only take a minute. you may want to put some extra support to the front motor mounts before your motor falls out. you could easily do it by taking out the seats out. mine was screwed and i had to pull the motor last weekend. good luck...........................dave
