I bought my buggies in May so I have 3months of abuse to make my opionions off of. :D

Joyner got many things just about perfect on the 250's, just about. The quality of workmanship is good, as good as any mass produced atv or sxs made any where. The Quality of the parts is ? The chrome on the tierods is rusting, and the powdercoating on the floorboards is flaking and all my guages have condensation under the lenses. Also during assembly when they where bending the tabs on the cv boot someone got out of controll and put a little tear in it, human error, it happens.

The suspension has allot of potential. The rear is better than the front for sure but still not perfect. The front is just to stiff even on the softest setting. The rear is fine for cruising but likes to kick off of jumps and will bottom out big time if jumped far enough. New shocks will take care of these problems I believe. The steering is light, the front pushing is an everytime occurance. I believe it is a tire issue as the stock front tires suck. They are the same as the rear but do not have enough sidebite to make good front tires. The good thing is they wear out quick so you can replace them with higher quality rubber of you choice. =D> The other problem with the steering is the lack of stops. If yo crank the wheel hard it goes until the tierod hits the spindle, I already have to replace on tierod.

I never drove a stock 250 so I can not comment on stock power. I picked both up with the UNI air filter, CDI's and coils. My first run in netted a 53mph in one and 50mph in the other. The slow one having the MRP pipe(waste of $$$).
I drove them this way for awhile until I got to Idaho and had Glade Change the weights and springs. Best thing you can do. With these mods I am pretty happy with the performance. Do I wish it had more YES but it is just a 250cc motor. Bottom end is great, especially when in the low range and top end is pretty good also, I just wish cruising at 25 or so you could punch and things would happen, they do just not as quick as I wish.

I am very pleased with my buggies, I just wish Joyner would go the extra mile a build a complete buggy. I would spend the extra $$ to have on that had better stock tires, better shocks, waterproof gauges and so on. I am now having to do that anyways. Would I buy Joyner again... YOU BET :D I will take a 500 automatic with long travel in Lime green...................

I didnt like the tires and shocks either. the one I had at the store we put 23x7x10 hole shots on the front and 22x1x10 on the rear. that helped some.

I put Fox Podiums on the front with DS650 springs. The front is now pillow soft. The back, I believe the only option is Fox Air shocks. Last year Glade and I could not get Buggy world to get the shocks after waiting 2 months, I decide to buy some more stockers and get a pumper carb. This year Buggy World isn't the only game in town, so I'll fit the Joyner with some high quality shocks.

Cartin you would be amazed at the post last year, when I complained about the Joyner shocks. People thought I was crazy, now the opposite true  .

I wish I had the lighter '09 version. Great review.

Greg

Yes you can Glade. The problem is when it starts getting warm and the sun comes out, oops how do I get back up that? Happened on more than one occasion out there at St. Anthony's
