now that they have been around for awhile does anyone have some long term feedback . and they all seem to have the yamaha linhai engines is there any real difference beside appearance in the models . i will be purchasing a new buggy in the next week . we had a carter 150cc 2 seater and loved it . we want more power and to put it on the road aswell .the carter 250 and hammerhead look very nice also but for about the same price we can get a 400cc . any insight much appreciated

I had one. Downsides are the lack of parts. Mine leaked oil at both output shafts and it seemed to run hot. Poor cooling however I thing that could have been fixed with a fan actually on the oil cooler up front. Regarding that, only the Hammerhead version will allow that for the sake of room. The non hammerhead version that I recently looked at had the craziest setup I've ever seen. It had a rack and pinion that drove another rack and pinion below. The hammerheads simply used 1 upper rack and pinion that went to their struts. The non HH version didn't use the struts which required the second rack and pinion.

Otherwise, it was definately one of the funner machines I have owned.
