First remove the rear frame cradle around the gas tank, held on with 4 allen head bolts. Then disconnect all fuel lines electrical wires. Disconnet the two straps holding the tank. You can now pull the tank straight back. Pour out fuel into cans. Now the tank out on the bench, probley the only time you will have to look it over real good and clean her up.

Next im showing frame extenions and 10mmx4" x.150 pitch bolts. The bolts were the longest i could find, auto. thread hard to find. The extensions are made from 1x5" black iron pipe nipples. The outside diameter is the same as the buggy. I epoxied 1" birch dowels inside, cut off the threads, grind square, centered drilled to 10mm in the drill press.

This picture shows the new tank support rails, these are made from 1/8x11/2x18" long aluminium L channel. These L channels have a 3/8x11/2x18" oak strip on top. The oak strip raises the tank just high enough to let the drain plug miss the frame rail, and you can still access it. I have never used this plug,on the few times ive drained the tank i pull it out and dump the fuel out the filler neck. I drilled two extra holrs for more support.

With the frame back on and tank installed, you gain about 3" here it made a big difference. With the frame and 10 gallons of fuel moved back 3",it shure makes the wheel stands easier,ha ha Ghost

Team Farm has a similar setup, but not as much offset as you. That looks like a nice solution - Do you still have access to your hitch or this something you never use? Mine gets a good work out towing broken Carters or triple towing my buggies from camp to the dunes.

Ill look but i don't it interfears with the hitch at all. Im going to run velocity stacks with unifilters, thats the main reason for more room. Will make post with pictures when im all done. Tell team farm 15% better flow with stacks. The orignal weber came with them on. I found them in their book, another advantage their stainless not alum.

I was actually surprised how well the pancake filter did on the Weber. TF may have to rework his rear to get some more out of his 650. Sounds like he will be in need of rejet too...
