I apoligize for not having done any follow up for u on this; but I gotta tell you, automotive electronics is far from one my specialties... LeeNanj installed & wired this, before I owned this SS. I will try to get a good pic of this settup, & maybe w/pic he (or pghruby, is a wizard at this stuff) can make better sense of this settup.

I (as ive stated earlier I'm all thumbs w/automotive style electronics) but was hopefull the pic could help you, can see there is a (I'll call it a) rectifier, wired in w/the MSD settup (almost certain LeeNanj installed & wired this up) so hoping he will jump in here to explain more...
Pghruby can you make any sense of this settup, as I remember reading problems others have had setting this MSD ign up

Hope this helps, if neccesary I can try to trace wiring route (altho all is nicely wire loomed up), but will have no time for this for a wk or so, I'll be out of town...
Jeff

Thanks for the photos i printed them, looks like msd coil and a rectifer, but hard to be sure, Im trying to hook up msd 6al capacitor discharge system through a msd blaster coil, ive got to work a couple of times,it runs great for a day or two then either burns up the distributor module or the capacitor box itself, now im affraid to run till i know why im burning stuff up. My next step is to make a bracket, mount on the pickup at the crank timing pullry. Im going to attach two relucktors 180 degrees apart to fire the capacitor unit. The bracket has to be adjustable to advance and retard timing. This project is on the back burner now with new pistons ordered and camshaft but gathering data. Thanks for the help, any help is always appr.

I could not get the Fram or Wicks filter to fit on my 2008 Sand Spider; they were a little bit too long and bumped into the frame. I ended up going with a Mobile M1-108 that has worked just fine for the last year. The treads were perfect and the filter was short enough.
