I need a little help in the design of a buggy .... i am taking a 2008 Polaris 800 cc efi 4x4 4 wheeler and going to turn it into a buggy ... my throught is to strech the frame and make a cockpit then widen it a little bit .. i do want it to be a 2 seater... give me some ideas...

we could sell you a frame from the boss 500 then the rest would be alot easier and you wouldn't have to spend a lot of time getting the frame done. plus we could get the plastics, seats, pedals, brakes, lights lines ect. let me know what you think. it would be the first 800cc boss. then we could race.

Why not just buy a RZR. that would be the easiest in my opinion :D

Ahhh, thought you had a new atv you were going to rip apart.
Someone did a single seat buggy with a polaris 700. there's some video of it on youtube. I'll see if i can dig it up.

This is from the "Single Seat 4x4 Buggy" thread
It might help you get an idea of what you want. Would be pretty cool though :D

now that is a hill that 700cc is climbing..

Manco you will need a new pair of shorts after watching that guy climb.

It was interesting in the video that guy left the handlebars instead of stearing wheel.

He should have kept the ATV seat too. That would have qualified him for the "Straddle Only" trails

Well I talked with WhatHarley tonight, and he's getting cranked up. I'd say in about 6 months, we're going to see a new beast. I like that name, The Beast!

Six months  he must have a heck of a shop and loads of free time. I just looked at the Joyner 500 engine swap thread, it's 6mos old. Not saying it can't be done, but without proven plans the build doesn't start until after the test drive.
