I am looking for a 800cc-1100cc buggy. Want to know everyones opinions and what options are out there. Joyner seems to have a great reputation. I have read about LJ Tech, but can not find a website on them. BMS also seems to have a good reputation, while Roketa is a mixed bag. Looking for overall performance, parts support, and longevity. Thanks for all those who reply.

in that size range I would go with the joyner. Glade (doonrunr on here ) is in idaho, his sight is edgepowersports. he can give you all the info on the bigger joyners

LJtech is sold through Sean in Cal. His sight is minisandrail.net. Also just so you know BMS and Roketa are the same company, just a marketing ploy to get rid of some bad press. That being said Roketa /BMS have put out some good buggies. There quality is a little down from the good ones, but the big thing has always been parts are hard to come by. I have to agree with Eric, Joyner will be your best bet for quality, and Glade at the afore mentioned web sight is your man. I would add that the Joyner 650 should be in that group as well. It will perform right there with the 800 and the suspention is better than most 800cc and 1000cc buggies I have seen. Good Luck finding the right buggy.

My 1000s are both 70 in wide. Although one is noticably bigger inside and the other one has longer a arms and better suspention. Weight is also a factor my 650 weighs 240 lbs less than the 1000s. So even though it has less power it performs right with most 800cc buggies and with the turbo out runs the two 1000s by a little and blows 800s away. If I were looking for another buggy right now in the large buggy catagory I would buy a used turbo charged 650 joyner. They come up for sale all the time on craiglist here in AZ. There are 5 of them right now that range from 3200 to 5500. Three are turbo and two have after market carbs and pipes which I hear isnt too far behind the turbo. Just a little tale for you side x side folks. We were out moving cows on our ranch this last weekend and one of the people who showed up to help(sometimes the people out number the cows) had the new 1000cc Artic cat. He was very proud of it until after we were moving the cows to the far pasture my 13 yr old daughter talked him into racing back to the house, (about 6 miles) she was driving her 650 turbo and showed up at the house a good 1/4 of a mile ahead of him. Then the excuses started to fly. The funny thing is he wasnt as upset by being beat by a Joyner 650 as he was being beat by a 13 yr old girl. Go figure
