HELP I seem to have broken my output shaft from my joyner 800mv. Joyner wants $100 for part. My question is has anyone had to replace this and have any how to's and anything I will need to make sure it all goes back together well. I am attempting this myself so any input would be great and if you know how to get the broken output shaft out of the driveline woudl also be appreciated. Oh yeah its an '06 Carb

Pretty much everybody has broken one of those. This was a HUGE problem on the older 800's. I believe Gorilla Axle makes a stronger one for the Joyner...

they do sell an open differential? Do you happen to know the cost? I figured there was going to be no easy way to get that broken piece out. So pretty much no matter what I do this will keep happening?
Whether the output shaft shears is dependent on your terrain and driving style. Low traction areas are best for the locked rear. If you stay on the gas when you jump, the stress induced on a locked rear at landing will eventually cause it to fail. I try to loosen the rear's hold by goosing the throttle prior to turns to help lesson the stress.

dont know if this helps but I have an 06 roketa carb, it has the 800/650cc transmission and an open diff. I beat the living snot out of my 800cc at 50-60 mph over some really rough roads and constantly doing huge drifts, and I never broke an output shaft yet in two years. Then again I dont jump my buggy and I dont drive in thick sand. If you get an open diff I dont think you would need to worry too much about breaking more output shafts. just my opinion
