Great, I did a part number search on Checkers web-site and found 3 alternators, float bowl gaskets, brake parts.......all with that same part number.

No specs on the alternators either, just a generic picture and its for imported cars.

I know, thats all i found as well. I just had to call Shucks Auto Supply (checkers) and ask about it myself. Still didnt get much info but I will be heading there sunday to take my alternator in and check it out, if everything appears to be correct ill buy it, test it out, and let you know how it ends up working/fitting.

After some research this what I found:

1. The Pickup and Corolla came standard with 35A alternators and you can run a 45A upgraded version. There was no 55A version for these model years.

2. Checker/O'Reilly part # 14129 is 35A, 14130 and 14153 are 45A.

3. Duralast (Autozone) describes the 14129 as 30A and 14153 as 50A but specifications are the same as Checker.

4. The stock Joyner 650 alternator is only 30A.

Sounds like you guys are getting the run around. This is the alternator I bought and at least two other people I know have also purchased it. It is 55 amp and it is a direct bolt in. Van

There is some conflicting information:

The model alternator you linked is for a newer model Toyota Pickup with the 2.2 liter engine. The information you posted earlier was for the 2 liter Truck and 1.6 liter Corolla older models. This newer alternator has the rectifier built in.
