Talked to nick today also, forgot about the screws though, said if i'm rich to adjust the float, so i will try tomorrow, ran great today, had to lower timing, i'm just taking a guess, but maybe my springs in my distributor are worn out and its advancing to much? Had it about 63mph today, and i'm not getting full throttle yet, need to adjust linkage. Ghost do you think i would be ok with a bigger(Taller) air filter and the velocity stacks? I think they are the 45mm not sure. Thanks

Hi Bigt, the stacks and the Unifilters with help, smooth out the whole rpm range. I believe your carb is 40mm, 45s won't fit.You will also need the clip brackets that hold the stacks in the carb. You can look at the pictures on my post. Ghost

Hey Ghost I meant 45mm tall, my fault didn't explain better. I would like to try the Taller K&N filter, just easier at the moment. Ran the buggy yesterday, running good, plugs show i'm lean, but if i rev it from idle to almost half throttle i get black smoke. Also noticed the air filter plate that bolts to the carb not sealed off in the middle, will put better gasket on it today. Taking a guess but i think i need more air on bottom and more fuel in upper rpm range, will talk to nick later. Thanks again.

Hi bigt, get the stock weber stacks, taller stacks won't make any difference on a small cc engine. Ghost

Hi big t,adjusted air bypass screws today, made a considerable difference. I first got the buggy fully warmed up,adjusted the left side got about 50 rpm more, adjusted the right side got 200 rpm more. Went back to the first screw to see if i could get any more, could not. Adjustrd idle back to 750,then re-adjusted the idle screws got a little more. Back idle off again to 750, went for ride,i use to have a little flat spot right off idle, gone. Seamed to accerate better, thanks for telling me about the air bypass screws.Ghost

Hi bigt, you can't tune anything very well without a tac. That little 40.00 job i just put in works great, esp.when setting the carb. Ghost

I will try to buy that tac soon ghost. I'm currently out of town, so when i get home i will install the jets nick sent and larger air filter and veloctiy stacks. What did you adjust your air by-passes too? 2 turns out? Thanks again.

Hi bigt, I have the left screw 11/4 turns out and the right 2 turns out. Because the ports have different volumes and shapes i didn't think they would adjust the same. What your doing is fine tuning the idle circuit. Ghost
