I'd check the logs for the forum board or the security logs on the web server to see if there are any kerberos warnings or configuration errors.
If I remember correctly, there was just an update to the site. If the board admin panel has a TTY (time to live) setting for logins I would check that.

This behavior is a little odd - as several other installations of this software which I run do not do this.
I have changed the name of the cookie itself which this board uses, hoping that it was a name collision problem. The session TTL is already set to 3 days and the board uses special logic to check for the autologin action. It all revolves around the browser cookie - like if you have one, but you have no session, it looks your user up in the db and checks to see if you prefer autologin - and does it as long as the first 2 parts of your IP match. This works just fine most of the day....hmmmm. But seems to mysteriously stop working once each day...

Judging by the earlier post about IPs... ... Is it possible some of these troubles are from a server or router that is rotating IPs?

I have had to log in everytime for the past 6-8 months, I was told it was in my computer, I have since had someone clean it up as well as other issues I had , and the problem still exists. The guy who done thwe work on it said it was with the forum. I don't have a problem logging in everytime but several times when I post and hit submit I will tell me to log in again and when I do the post is lost and I have to repost. TOM

Your Safari browser on the Apple Mac OS uses cookies and cache just like any other browser. This problem however looks like it is an application issue on the server.

Im a moderator for the NEBA forum, and I never have to log on more than once a month or year!!!! unless I log off or delete all my cookies, i am always logged in on www.northeastbuggy.com. But here, I have to log on every single visit... If I am checking my email, and I follow a link to bn.com, I have to log in.... If I close out that page and go back to my mail and follow another link to bn, I have to log in again sometimes!!!! other times, i will stay logged in, but once I turn off the comp and come back, it is back to the beginning... it only does it to bn.com... no other forums that I am a member on.
