Hey guys been having a problem with my buggy thats getting frustrating. The buggy was sitting for about 2 months and when i went to start it it ran great as usual. two days later i go to start it and it doesn't start, next thing i know theres a huge stream of gas/oil coming out of the vent from the engine. the one thats on the head. So i figured the float is getting stuck. cleaned out the carburator real good, nothing same thing.
So i went and bought a brand new carburator changed the oil, everyting was cool for the next two days also. So i go to start it again and same thing as before, alot of gas and oil coming out of the head vent hose. and gas leakin from the vents on the carb.
What could my problem be? anything else i should check? I do have the stock air box for now and its clean as a whistle in there so i doubt dirt is getting in and causing it to get stuck.
let me know please im dying to go out and ride now that the weather is getting alittle cooler. thanks
If you have gas comming out of your carb vent tubes then your float level is wrong, stuck,or needle is missing,Take carb off, take off float bowl.reconect the gas line, lift up on float see if gas stops.

i tried that and gas does not stop so i adjusted it and seems to be running fine again. But probably for only two days again since i had already done that with the previous carb. What would cause it to come miss adjusted all the time?? i don't want to be having to adjust the carb all the time...
maybe your float level and drop is not right or gas is not keep up with your usage. The bowl runs real low and you go bouncing around, there no gas to cushion the blow.

You say that you bypassed the petcock, How? Or did you replace the petcock with a nipple strait from the tank. Also check that the fuel cap vent is not plugged up. TOM
