So I found another buggy that I am considering it is a Baja Motorsports Reaction 150 that was purchased about 3 years ago. The lady said it runs but that you have to start it with ether. I can't seem to find a buggy with out issue's that they don't want an arm and a leg for. What could it be? Carb or worse? Are these nice buggies or are they junk?
Thanks for the help. Jason

Depends. There have been several different models.
Single seater or double bucket seats? Make sure it has a 4-bolt valve cover in any case.
If it only starts with ether, that's a warning flag right there that you're going to have to put some time into figuring out that problem as well as whatever ELSE might be wrong!
Does it look like it has been stored outside? Do they want a really low price for it? How much time, effort, and money are you willing to spend to get it into shape?
The buggy and brand are not THAT bad, and (OEM) parts availability is so-so/hit-or-miss depending on the specific model. I've got an older one that I have put through heck and modded back to life, and while it runs like a little champ, I still wouldn't buy it all over again.
If it's within your budget (and added repair budget), go for it. Otherwise hold out for a stronger brand name (Carter, Kinroad, Hammerhead etc). There's plenty of used buggies out there right now. If you can hang on til the next one comes around you might find a gem!

I would stay with hammerhead, carter or kinroad. baja was bought by Homelite about a month or so ago. so I dont know what will happen now. maybe a buggy with a leaf blower

It's not just Homelite - The parent company owns more brands we know:

Thanks for the advice. She is asking $700. I think I will concentrate on the Hammerhead, or keep my eyes open for one of the other brands mentioned. I think I might call the guy with the Hammerhead tonight or tomorrow night and see if he has done anything with it, and make him an offer.

I have a Reaction 250 and I think it is a fantastic buggy with the exception of the following...
-Four blown shocks. -Limited articulation due to poor A Arm design with limited travel. -Cheap shoulder harnesses. Would be better off with a rubber band wrapped around you. -Weak frame. Had to modify mine to hold up to any abuse at all. -Bent axle. -Brakes don't work that well. -Roll cage won't protect you much in a roll over. -Wiring done by a three year old and prone to shorts.
Basically, my motor has been fine. Save up a little... my two cents.
