Wow, I paid $90 on sale, from reg $109, and the cashier applied a coupon so the 2yr free replacement was free.

I am glad that I saw this thread. I have been sitting on one of these benders for years and never used it to bend tubing because I was told by someone that I loaned it to that it didn't work when they tried to bend tubing with it. I guess I have one less excuse stalling me on building my own chassis. Now to conquer that pesky $$$$ excuse!!!

That is the whole reason for this post so we can all see some more home built buggys. Maybe the real problem with people that use this bender don't the differences in pipe and tube. I do hope this helps a few more people.

The end of this vid shows most of the bends with the HF bender. We used another for one bend but it didn't work well

The bender at 2.15 is not a HF bender but that is a mandral bender and when you learn how to use it they work great as well.

We don't have video of the HF bender but all the bends on the tubing were done with the HF except the lower bars on the frame. I'll make sure we get some vid of it when we start the second buggy on the project.

The bender shown has a minor problem with the bends simply because it's old and a little beat up. It's also a little harder to eyeball things when your bending but as you can see with a little care you can get them spot on everytime.

The HF is still a great buy for some simple jobs. I plan on getting another bender next summer that will handle more complex bends.
