From a business stanpoint, there just isnt a large enouge base of potential advertisers for a print version of a Buggy only Magizine. It would have to be a Broader based Mag, including Sand rails or SxS or Quads to attract larger advertisers. The Subscription fees barely cover thecost of printing and shipping on your typical magizine, it is the advertising dollars that drive the profits. That is why a magizine like consumer reports which accepts no paid avertising is so rare. I was the president of a Magizne for a while and I will tell you this, Online is the only game in town these days if you are going to focus on a small single product magizine based on buggies alone. Until the racing of Buggies becomes more official and some of the major oil companies and such see the $$$$ from the industry they won't buget the money to the Buggies. the advertisers you would see in the magizine would be Us.. Blade, Carter, TJ, Joyner, Carter, some trailer companies and Sunl and Roketa along with the Rip off artists of the world that want you to know them. not enough to sustain a mag yet. BUT soon....

IMHO

Well it could have a buggy theme and still have sand rails. I dunno, or maybe the opposite of the current mags, buggies featured and ATV's in the background. Maybe it's bimonthly or whatever. Maybe it IS online only. Maybe it starts on newsprint. Maybe...... it just needs to start.

Something in print would be nice. Anything you can put in someones hand for them to read, leave at the house for others to read or pass it on to others.

Any reviews would be have to be unbiased. It can't matter who is an advertiser when their product gets reviewed.

Heck BuggyNews name would be perfect, almost like the site, taken to the next level. Honest information and friendly atmosphere.

Well you would have to decide on columns/topics. Have to have some people that really know the buggies. I am just a beginner, learning as I go. A lot of the help here is provided by dealers which is great but you really dont want a dealer doing reviews. Even though I think the guys here are fair it's just more acceptable to have an unbiased opinion.

But for all the registered users, there are a LOT of guest users browsing that may be potential readers too.

Maybe some of you longterm buggy guys can shoot out some topics or columns that would be useful. Like....

Whats New

Reviews ---maybe have it in engine class sizes kids to whatever...parts too

How to--- install a mod, troubleshoot a problem, change a part

Clinic-- answer submitted questions

Dog Pound --(name from my computer mag) for investigating problem websites (IE: bestpriceatv) or a crappy aftermarket part

How to buy.......

I know a lot of dealers probably have a good source of information on things. It just isn't getting to the consumer about junk buggies or why buggies look similar but are NOT the same.

I dunno. Speak up smart people, this dummy is getting tired!

Aw, man, just when it was getting interesting, this thread fizzeled out.
I was at the bookstore the other day looking for mags covering buggies, all I found was the quad stuff. I'd love to see a magazine that focused on the mini buggies.
