BMS 1000cc Dune Buggy Review - AKA Odes 1000cc
On the 14th of August, the owner of BMS told me that he would have the electronics pulled from a working BMS 1000cc Dune Buggy and would send them to me on Monday the 16th. Today is the 24th of August and I called to see why the parts had not arrived and was informed that the parts had not been sent yet as they were waiting for them to arrive from China. With the lack of customer support and parts availability, I am forced to start the process of returning this BMS 1000cc Dune Buggy and possibly discontinuing sales of their line of buggies. Below are some pictures of the BMS 1000cc Dune Buggy.

Thank you for sending the message to manufacturers that they cannot dump product on our market without support (especially when the product does not even work properly out of the box).

BMS 1000cc Dune Buggy Review Continued
On August 14th, I requested a full set of electronics for the BMS 1000cc Dune Buggy to assist with diagnostics of the EFI problem. There is no port to attach a code reader to the ECU (computer) nor is there a manual for the engine to get parts specs from so changing parts in and out seems like my only option.
After some very heated discussions with BMS, they agreed to take the electronics off of a working buggy at their facility and ship them to me. The electronic parts set that I received on August 31th was lacking a few key components such as the wiring harness, the MAP sensor, and the IAT sensor. Hoping for the best, I switched out the components that were sent but was unable to find the faulty component and the problem persists.
BMS is taking their sweet time getting the other components to me. At this point, I am extremely frustrated with the service BMS has provided me as a vendor of their product. When they tell me they have sent something, it usually take another call or 2 and a week to actually get the items in the mail.
The customer who ordered this buggy has requested his money be used toward something that runs so I have ordered him a bright yellow Joyner 800cc Mini Viper which I will deliver for the same cost due to all of the delays from BMS. The Joyner 800cc Mini Viper has 7 HP more and a proven engine so it's going to be a huge upgrade for the customer.

BMS 1000cc Dune Buggy Review
All of the electronics that I had requested for diagnostics have not made it here yet and the parts that have arrived didn't seem to make any difference in performance. As of yesterday, I informed BMS that I would no longer sell or perform warranty work on their products.
I am currently in the process of trying to return the BMS 1000cc Dune Buggy to BMS but they are being less than cooperative by trying to charge me a 20% restocking fee even though the buggy does not run. This could become an ugly court battle should they continue with this approach. I can understand that occasionally there will be issues with a vehicle but their lack of concern for any sort of time table is a real deal breaker.

BMS has agreed to pick up the BMS 1000cc Dune Buggy and part ways amicably. The will issue a reimbursement check until they can inspect the buggy which I can assure you is in better condition than the day I received it. I'll let you guys know if they make good on this.
