So far I'm pleased about the decision to buy a BMS 800cc buggy. I had been thinking about buying a 4-wheeler instead but glad I made this decisison. Much better to enjoy with someone else rather than riding tandem with you guy friend if you know what I mean. I only wish I had found this website prior to purchasing my buggy because I would have made a few different decisions but that is for another post.

Now for the buggy review - BMS 800cc Fuel Injected
Issue #1
Fuel system design problem - had to drill and tap the fuel tank to run a return line from the fuel injectors back into the gas tank. The factory design has a "Y" that dumps the return fuel (with air) back into the fuel line and the fuel pump sucks on it and it does not like pumping air. I'm hoping this fixes the fuel starvation problem as it seems to be a problem for other fuel injected BMS buggy owners. I have not ran it yet due to the #2 issue.

Issue #2
Oil Pan Design - oil pan sits low and exposed on the 800cc buggies. This is one reason why I would buy the 1100cc because it is designed different. I have put less than 160 miles on my buggy and have dented the oil pan once and then ripped a whole in it another time. In the process of fixing and waiting on a new one. Will probably take the old one off and weld it as suggested in another post.

Issue #3
Shocks are Stiff - I have yet to adjust these so this problem maybe be fixed by adjusting the tension on the springs. Only about an inch to let out and I'm not sure if it will fix it.

Issue #4
Air Box - The location of this thing is right next to the rear wheel. So basically the air filter is constantly sucking dirty dusty air! Less than 160 miles and the inside of my throttle body was gunked up! Lucky this is an easy fix. Needed only 3 different PVC parts from Lowes, my factory air intake off my Jeep Wrangler with a K&N air filter. I can send pictures if anyone wants but basically I re-routed the air intake up the roll cage and strapped it to the top of the buggy. Now I have RAM Air!!! and I'm making use of my obselete factoryt airbox and K&N air filter that was replaced by an AirRaid system on my Wrangler.

THINGS THAT ARE NICE:
Winch, MP3 speaker, and Turn signals (if you ride on the road if not remove).

Overall, as I mentioned before I like the buggy! Its a blast!!! I do wish it had more power (but we always want more power) so purchasing a turbo might be an option. If I were to buy a buggy again I would go with a bigger one, possibly an 1100cc depending on brand. I wasn't sure how I was going to like it but after having one for a short time I would spend the extra money on one with more HP's. For the price of an 800cc (around $5400) you really cannot go wrong.

200 miles currently on the buggy. I spend more time working on it or attempting to fix it than actually using it.

DO NOT BUY BMS!!! Use your money on something else even if it means spending more.

HI. I was wondering if sending the fuel regulator bypass straight to the tank helped you any?

I have 800+ miles on mine, the Bugs are still not worked out. Also, I waited too long to move my filter. I sucked in a bunch of mud/dirt now I'm blowing lots of smoke.

No it did not help make things run better by re-routing the fuel line. I was hoping it would but same puttering out towards mid to high range.

I do not think any the BMS dealers know anything about the buggies. The buggies are shipped from China and then the dealers pass them on to the consumer. It would help a little if there was some kind of owner's manual out there that was worth something, but there's not. Lack of customer service also from the dealer because I had mine shipped to me. I've owned my buggy for over a year and they still will not send me my title. DO NOT BUY BMS Buggy!!!
