The title says it all... Sunday, July 22nd, 2007.... I figure at least TH, AC, KIDNINME and myself are avail (as taken from the other thread) for the final trip to EMR prior to our BASH, so might as well make it official...
This post is up to hopefully generate a little more interest in other riders to get a peek before the event, and hopefully help with a little prep for August!
Tools may be needed for trail prep and such, so here is a list I put together while thinking of what we should be doing there:
chainsaw to clear current trails weed trimmer to clean some tall grass that may impede areas basic bruch cutting hand tools some small wood to mark trails, as well as possible sign making Rakes/shovels some rope and spray paint
And that is about it for clearing amd marking paths.
Chime in and let us know if you can attend or help out!
Here is what I am bringing....
Rake/shovel/weed trimmer/spray paint and some pieces of wood for signs or trail markings
Anything else, feel free to shout it out and someone should be able to get a hold of it, or bring it with you to help out!!!

I will bring my Gas trimmer, hand cutters, Yellow spray paint and a shovel or two. I might also have a few wood stakes left over from last year. I also have a roll of yellow caution tape if you need it.

oooo...caution tape!!! good idea!
lol
I forgot to ask if anyone has any posterboard or that plasic board that people make lawn signs out of.... Can anyone make a sign for the buggy bash to put outside the entrance of the sight, or at the exits on the highway or in town to point to the place so that everyone gets there as painless as possible?
I can make up cardboard signs, but I want to make sure they get put up in good places and are visible early!
Well, if you wanted to get serious. I don't use basic hand tools. I could bring 3-4 chainsaws. One only 10" and up to about 20". I have a makita 4 stroke commercial grade string trimmer. I have two hedge trimmers one commercial one side only and a dual sided one. A 20hp troy bilt garden tractor w/hydrostatic transmission etc. etc. etc.
I too, need a permission slip lol.
I don't know if I will be buggying, but I def. want to try to help out as long as I can hold out.
I've included the emails back and forth between Blue and myself.
We'll have to work with Andy that day. As we get closer I'll contact Blue again and get some details from him as to wether or not we can cut new trails and where they can be.
I'm also going to ask him if he has any maintenance that he was thinking of doing but doesn't have the time. If we can provide that work for him I think that would go a long way towards establishing our respectful relationship.
I'm sure we'll talk more as this progresses.

Hi Chris, Sunday July 22nd would probably be best. Contact me as we get closer to make sure we do not have any very large groups coming in. I doubt if I will be there, but Andy should be.

More work on the trails and planning than riding. There will be a few guys who haven't been there so we'd like to show them where things are to help evaluate what we can do with each of the unique areas.

countdown to prep trip has commenced!!! lol...
Who is going? I know Kidinme said he might, might not.... TH, you in? lol... As if I had to ask!!! lol
I may be able to bring my bro along, and I got a few tools...
What I am trying to find is someone who makes those little lawn signs, like the ones that get spread all over when elections are nearing... I can front a couple extra beans to pay for a few signs for the event, like trail marking, or NE BASH signs for off the highway.... They arent expensive, but I dont know of anyone near me locally right yet.... Anybody got a supplier???
lol...ANYWAY, We have 22 days and counting for prep.... WHO IS IN ! ! ? ? ! ! ? ? ! !
