Why did you camp at a different campground than eveyone else if you wanted to be part of the bash? There were free campsites by members that couldn't go at the last minute. I think you may have been there on the wrong weekend. Most of these guys would have gone out of there way to meet you and your family.

I cant imagine who you talked to that as you put it "snubbed you off". Thats not what we do and if you could come up with a name it would be usefull. I can tell you for a fact that side 1-20 were all a big family. Sorry you got the cold shoulder but as ATL asked, why did you not camp with the rest of us?

Well I spent more time working on peoples buggies that I had never met, and in many cases never heard of. I borrowed parts, tools, and ideas from these same unknown people. Had the buggy towed and did some towing. Got free food and drinks. Lots of conversation. Only 2 people caught me by surprise. The black Joyner that we invited over to group pic and ride. Then stardog with the baby yerf :D I even offered to give a group a complete rebuild kit for their crossfire for free and never new them. Left my welder at Tiggers and did'nt know him.

I think you got the wrong group. If not then next year, I'll give you me and the wifes number, and we'll be you buggy buddies.

PS. I got a bada$$ 150

Wow snake lady, don't know how that could have happened, I talked with every new person I met at this bash. Did you attempt to visit any of the night time BBQ's?

I'm really at a loss to hear something like this. I've been to many bashs, some large and some small and I've hosted some on property in PA. And everyone of them was more fun than the next.

Hope you'll stick around this board and lets us change your mind so when the next bash comes up you'll see just how much fun a bunch of buggynuts can be.

BTW what type of buggy were you riding?

It was our first year at the Bash and am looking forward to next year. Like my husband said, if you are up to going next year we can exchange info. I never felt more welcomed and safe around such a group of people from all areas and ages. Things may have not gone as planned but every year it will get better and if I can do anything to help with it, I will. Hopefully it wont be 97 degrees  and I wont be pregnant! Thanks to everyone who kept their eye on me and checked to see how I was doing. Snake lady must have met the wrong people, even the kids (especially George) were very welcoming. :D

I feel like chiming in on this one.....sorry. I do appollogise to you if you weren't made to feel overly welcome. Most of the buggy riders are overly friendly and helpful. Except for that Tigger guy....he's a freak!

And I believe I have met you at a event in Georgia at Durham Town, I am glad we made you feel at home. And I am sure these guys would have treated you the same way had you run into them. I think you unfortunately didn't run into this group. God knows BigE and Kruise are way too friendly and would have done what ever they could to entertain you.

snake_lady0124,

Like others I too would like to say I'm sorry that you had the experience you had.

Rude would not be an adjective that I'd use to describe anyone here on BuggyNews. To be honest, as a rule I don't think any of us that are involved with BuggyNews would put up with any of the actions you describe.

One of the things that I try to do is make sure that information regarding the bash is readily available. We all do. We readily post contact information for people and in this case the 1st day that reservations were available I posted campsite assignments. In my opinion there's no reason why someone wouldn't have had all the information they needed to participate in the bash. It was posted on the 1st page of the forum, there was a flyer and tons of information. I think I even posted my cell phone number in case people got lost or had questions.

Now, having said that, if there is ANY way that we can improve on diseminating this information please let us know. We don't want anyone to have a bad time. Regardless if they meet anyone or ride in the group we want people to have fun in a buggy.

I have one question for you. Why did you wait until after the bash to join BuggyNews? I can understand if you were in transit or didn't have time. However I know for a fact that the park rangers knew where all the BuggyNews guys were camping.

You should make an attempt to ride with some of these guys local to you the next time they get together.

Again, sorry for the confusion.
