First, Yes, I could have driven down to Orlando Florida myself - 20 hours one way. It would have been a long drive, but I could have done it. "Lone Rider" (Max) - would have taken vacation time to go down with me - Thanks Max.
But, instead, it was an opportunity for Buggy News Brothers to come together in "The Buggy Relay Mission" challenge.
ChuckOrlando - looked at buggy, took pictures and gave me the ok
BigE (Eric) - drove 4 hrs one way to pick up buggy at GA - FL border.
RvTech888 (Bob) - picked buggy up in GA from BigE. Drove to TN.
RRaland (Raland Scott) - picked buggy up from Bob in Chattanooga, TN to meet Rock Runner half way from Nashville.
Rockrunner (Tom) - Got buggy from Raland, had truck troubles, called wife, got another vehicle to continue journey. Reader's Digest condensed version - more to this episode.
Digger (Jody) and Family - Got buggy from Rockrunner in Springfield, TN Saturday evening. Called Motion427 (Donn) for a late Saturday pick up instead of early Sunday morning. Thanks Jody - that worked out better.
Motion427 (Donn) - Donn agreed for a late Saturday night pick up with me instead of Sunday morning. Got back to Donn's house after 1am. First time meeting Donn, didn't know me from squat - but welcomed me into his family for the weekend.
I've never met any of these guys before. They didn't know me, they didn't owe me anything, but were willing to spend their time to help a fellow buggy news member. Getting the buggy was the goal, but the end result was the team work and comradery that was built along the way - a sucessful relay mission accomplished!
I don't know how much more to thank you guys, but THANKS!
I know there is a lot more to the story, on and on, but you got the jist ... BUGGY NEWS MEMBERS ROCK!
