Exactly guys! Although there is the possibility that a fully-loaded 150 would lose badly to a fully-loaded 250. Couple of big passengers could be the difference.

I think the weight is some, but I still would bet on the 250cc buggy winning races after getting a high performance cam installed and such, when more quality performance mods are made for the 250cc buggies.

Hey guys, don't forget that there are people making mid to high 20s with the CN/CH250! I for one want to get it to 25hp if I can, let's see a modded 150 go against us then? 8)

Well - from my personal experience I can tell you that my 250 smokes my 150. Neither are modified (the 150 does have the Uni and larger main jet - but that is it.) Off the line, in the mid range and the top end - the 250 is just flat out faster. It also has a smaller turning radius than my 150.

My 250 is the Kinroad (Short Frame) "Boxer". My 250 may weigh more than the 150 - but more than makes up for it throttle response and speed.

Just my experience.

Jason,

Just an FYI. I weighed the 150 and the 250 at the dairy just down the road. Your 250 weighs ~660lbs ready roll with a full tank of gas.

Keep in mind that my 150 does 45 mph. The 250 registers about 47 on the speedo but is only showing 42 on the GPS.

Dont have a speedo on either of my Buggy's - so I dont know what top speed has been. (Sold my GPS last summer for lack of use... :( )

Blister - I dont think there is any denying your 150 is a screamer. I am just passing along my non-expert personal experience. :D :D

I do think the smaller frame and lighter weight on my Kinroad makes a difference - though.

Yes, That is the small frame. I have not seen the Larger frame in person, but I'd be surprised if it is more than 50 lbs heavier.
