I wish it was a friction pad!!.
The nut that screws onto the pully compressing the clutch spring is stripped. The threads on the pully are stripped. That whole thing almost flew apart when I took the last thread off the bell housing.
Has anyone else experienced this? I installed my 1500 clutch spring in May and got the nut on there tight.
Guess I'm going to call and get some parts tomorrow.
I'll post the pic's as soon as I get the camera downloaded. (Battries died)

I was installing a 1500 power spring for a customer a few months ago and went to tighten the nut and the stupid nut busted right into . That spring went fling through the air just missing the guys head .

My case was a bad retaining nut . I looked at the inside and it looked like potmetal I think that nut should be grade 8 or better.

You know of any place one could get a grade 8 nut? Like a Auto Zone or Pep Boys? I don't think they would have a nut that would be a close enough match. Maybe I should have put some loc tight on it. Not that it would have helped their are no threads left on the pully or the nut.
