On the early morning hours of August 16 2008,around 1:am,a young man of just 24 years old after drinking quite a few beers hoped on a Banchi quad and took off down a dirt road at full speed. What he did not know is someone had closed the steel swing pole gate, and he crashed into it,hitting him in the mid chest area killing him instantly, the seat was still between his legs and the handle bars where smashed down into the gas tank, but the quad went on about 150 feet before stopping.I wonder if he had been on a buggy if this type of crash could have saved his life?Don't drink and buggy,or quad,or drive a car! mancoman

I am sorry to hear about the guy. It is truly sad. One of the reasons I got a buggy for my kids instead of a quad was from reading about people getting crushed under a turned over quad.
Why did I click on this thread thinking about alcohol fueled dragsters, and thinking "this could be an interesting thread!"

a buggy might have helped him out, but he still might not have survived. i konw in the past month 2 people in my (nelson county) area have died. one hit a stone wall (drunk) another got hit head on. in eather sitiation they whouldint have survived. you can get killed on any thing with a motor. you just haft to use your head...
