Thanks for the insight. Maybe the dealer didn't know what he was doing or maybe he didn't put them together well. Im still looking and hope to buy something in the next week. I just spent $2500 redoing my tract on my land, so I need something reliable to ride on. Know anything about GoKartUSA?? or anyone else reliable. I am 4 hours from Your store or I'd come to the Atlanta area. Sounds as if you atleast stand behind them. They were fun even the short time they lasted.

The fenders aren't welded on GTRs, they attach with a bolt. It is quite unbelievable that the petcock just fell off the tank running on a flat track. Every manufacturer does have lemons, but you getting two at the same time........interesting is all I can say. Everything you mentioned was 100% covered by your warranty, so I don't see how Carter Brothers would be rude and not helpful at all... that has not been my or any other GTR owner's around here's experience.....just all sounds really interesting.....

Firebird the above statement is not entirely true. You and I had some very heated words over Carter and there miserable service. I have a buddy that totally scraped a 250gtr because it was a piece of garbage and he couldnt get any help from Carter at all. In Fact the story this thread started on sounds just like what we went thru. Only the Dealer he bought from wasnt helpful at all and Carter was useless and rude, and eventually quit even returning our calls. To this day even though you guys say they have changed I will never buy any Carter Products because of what we went through. I hope they go out of business and close there doors just because any company that treats there customers the way Carter does doesnt deserve to stay in Business.
I am glad your dealer at least took care of you. Try the Joyners, better carts, and better service. Van

I think you misunderstood me. the fender did break off at the joint between where it was attached at the frame with several bolts and to the plastic fender. That joint is welded and I guess it was just a bad weld. I'm looking for 2 Buggies - 250cc -300cc but mostly reliable. Thanks for the info on goKartUSA.

thats strange, the only fenders that bolt to the frame are the rears, and they bolt to a mount that is welded to the frame. I have seen some crack if they were bent from shipping.

If you buy from BigE you wont have those issues He has the best customer support I have ever encountered. Take the four hour ride to his shop and meet him, then you will see he is one of the best dealers in the south
