Not the problem. I doctored it and no more leak there. Still no fuel to start. Bowl is full. its flowing from the tank fine. Just wont start. took bowl off and cleaned jets again. The slow jet was a little clogged at first but cleaned it out. Any body know?

intaks leaks are hard to seal like that i went throw 4 of the rubber intakes.2 of them i just drowned the whole intake and nuts with plastic dip it would last a while and start leaking again.if it has a split like that might be best to get a new one.

also back to the valves they recommend to adjust them quarterly, ever three months.if you have never adjusted them probably wouldn't hurt.they are almost imposible to get started if they are out of adjustment.

Funnyman. Yes if I spray cleaner through the carb it fires up everytime. Then runs out. I have taken both jets out and cleaned them. I can blow through them. Is there anywhere past the jets that could be clogged or maybe something to do with the vaccum that could be clogged?

check the gas air screw. make sure you didn't tighten it up when you cleaned the carb

If you are positive that your intake is not leaking(did the intake test, carb cleaner around the intake while turning it over or running)make sure that the passages are clean .Spray cleaner thru all the passages and make sure it comes out.Thru the main and pilot

Checked the air screw and it was fine. I tried firing up and it started and idled. It would idle as long as I let it. I give it gas and it just kinda boggs a little but doesnt die. i can jack the rear end up and get tires off ground and and give it gas and it will rev up wide open. Only difference is I did it tonight and the temp was mid 70s compared to when I have been doing it at around 90. What could it be.

i don't know about your area but here where i'm at when it is 90 degrees the humdity will be lower and will get more air
when night time comes and temperture drops some the humdity will raise more moisture in the air so there is less air.

to me it sounds like you have air leak still, bogging like that.
try riching up the air fuel screw a little and see if it helps you can always put it back if it don't help.

mine was just idling for like 30 seconds and died. if i tried to push the gas it died. so far i have cleaned and soaked the carb, blew out all vaccum and breather hoses, fixed all the cracks around air box, adjusted valves, loosened gas cap, new fuel filter, plug, plug gap, cleaned fouled new plug and regapped, cleaned clogged jet. re-adjusted air gas screw. now it starting right up but will die after a minute or so, BUT now i can give it gas and it goes. mine has a broken exhust pipe so when its fixed, i will run it, check float level, adjust valves again. and finally the auto choke( which i think is shot.) if yours will idle for like five minutes...... do it,,, then pull the entire choke off the carb, look in the middle hole in choke body, you should see all brass if its working. if you only see half the brass plunger,,, its not working. hope something in this book helps ya. peace
