I have a talon gx1502r, and I love it. it is one of the lightest buggys out there so when you do some mods to it the power to weight ratio is great.

I run the dog dirty diaper out of mine and it holds up very well. I have not broken a weld on the frame yet. Befor the mods it pulled my wife and I up hills, thru creeks and mud good. after the mods it is even better. The dealer support is very good.

The down side is the front shocks bottom out easy, and when adjusted stiffer the ride is bad. I have read that carter has since went to a progressive sping and shock on the front which will make it alot better.

The front fenders work loose but a new bolt washers and lock nuts will fix that. The seat belts function but are a pain to adjust, differant style belts would be better. Other than that i have no complantes, I have rolled mine on its side one time with no damage at all so it is built well.

Just by from a good dealer that will be there for you after the sale.

I too have a GX150 Talon:
The GX is a great buggy I have through mud jumps freshly cut powerline cut throughs ( lots a small downed trees and steep hills) and it has performed great. The seat belts are my biggest complant on all the Buggys I have been in Carter & Dazon. That well be my next mod.
Over all the buggy has been great. If you are looking for a great all around buggy the GX is it.

Jeff

Thanks for the review Bige and Pain Killer!
I am new to the carting world so I am learning alot.
I bought a 2005 Carter Talon DLX150 2r and I am really enjoying it so far. :D I have about 8hours on it and am looking into future mods. I am really happy with the top end, but the low end, I would like some more power. I haven't really had a chance to try it on the trails yet, but I am really happy with the suspension. Front suspension does seem a little soft, but I will have to modify the settings and try that out.

welcome to the mad mad mad world of buggies. The talon does grest on the trails here in GA. if you want bottom end go to your carter dealer and buy a 39 tooth sprocket and chain if you dont have that now. i think the glx comes with a 39 tooth.

then put in some 10 gram rollers, mod the intake, rejet, and change the exchaust. these are cheap and easy to do and will greatly improve the performance.. :D

Bige is right Stevo if you change out the rollers, airfilter & intake tube, clutch spring, exhaust & rejet your buggy want be the same. As for the axle gear the DLX does have a 39 tooth gear stock.

Love my Gx 150, I did break a steering mount. But I am hard on it. and It takes it. The seat belts suck, all my fenders are gone, I got fed up with them.
