I finally removed the trani. This weekend I will install the new one. Is there a clutch upgrade for this buggy or is stock it. I've put almost 200 hrs on the buggy an it's running great. Can't wait for this weekends install. Maybe Pismo also
Flojob put in a CNC ceramic clutch...do not know anything about it myself. Now that this semester is over, I am about ready to tear into the buggy. I want to do the axles, tranny, guages. I would like to do the ceramic clutch also while I have everything out...
I am also looking at removing the tranny "skid protection bar" re-route the shifter and put a skid plate on the back like (Pholt?) did. Hope to gain a couple of inches ground clearance

Chris,
I removed the skid pipe already, I mean, tore it off out riding. You deffinetly get a couple more inches with it off. When leaving the ground with it on, you always hit or bend it. I don't bottom out jumping, on anything under 3-4 feet, any more. I could use some better shocks though, do you know what poeple are using?
I have heard that several people have gone to Fox shocks...I think Sean sells them...don't know who has made the switch but I know it ain't cheap
Did you weld some sort of protection back on the rear end for protecting the tranny...or just leave it off??? Did you have to adjust the linkage? That is where I mostly bottom out as well, large jumps or high centering a big rock...

Chris,
I am pretty weary about going over large rocks and bumbs. You have about 4-5inches of clearance with the shocks compressed all the way, at full pressure and the tires at 10psi. I am working on a skid plate but have'nt completed it yet. I know Dans Performance Buggy Shop sells some 22" LT coil over shocks but not sure if they are better than what comes stock on ours. I'm sure I'll find something that may work. Did you ever get new axles for your buggy? I talked to Gorrila but not getting any reallistic answers.
Still waiting on the axles, Sean said he would refund my money, if they did not ship in the next ten days. TO be honest, if there is still progress being made, I would rather continue with getting them....I have been e-mailing him, but I think I am going to call him next week and see what is up.

My understanding is there are two "lower range" transmissions on the market. One that has a lower first, second and third gear. And one that has all four lower.
Sean @ SuperKarts sells the later. I recently purchased one and am awaiting arrival.
