Ya!! what JABO said.. LOL JABO and I went through all of the weights and measuring, then Blade stocked them for a bit. Unfourtunatly, the price that Works was charging us did not allow for any markup compared to the Works direct price. We decided that for now, we would simply send people to them direct.

Ive been doing a lot of shock research and to me the shocks are just to expensive and i think fox air shocks would be easier to adjust and less expensive.the whole thing about special work to come up with shocks for buggys?sorry i dont buy it.you order what shocks you want, its not rocket science.even the fox shocks were out of my price league,i settled for used atv shocks.if you cant keep the price down then its like your getting into joyner territory.it was funny looking at one thousand plus dollars for shocks on ebay!i guess it al depends on how deep your pockets are.the eight hundred dollar mufflers were great to!

Fox airs are not easier to adjust.....The only thing adding nitrogen does is raise or lower the ride height....Compression and rebound dampening are regulated by fluid weight, shims, and valving....Coil overs with clicker adjustments are far easier to deal with.... I like you have the same ideas about putting just about as much money in a set of shocks as you have in the entire buggy.,....It doesn't make a lot of sense....I am sure it rides and handles better, but is it that much better? I put works on the front of my pilot several years ago, and found out a very important theory...The most expensive shocks feel no different than the stock shocks when they are bottomed out....I think a lot of people feel how rough these buggys land when jumping, and thing different shocks will help, when in reality, they don't...The only help would be increased suspension travel, then you get back into the justifiable cost scenario.... I will agree they help in handling and general riding, and are probably more durable than what is on there, but still wonder if it is worth the price.....These are not machines that will handle enough abuse or perform well enough to justify adding long travel or putting alot of r&d into suspension re-design and geometry, and most people like yourself that own them are not willing to put the kind of $$$$$ it would require to have something of that nature done.... Just for example,my pilot has works shocks all the way around, and a long travel kit on the front which gives me about 14" of usable travel...I have about $2500 in the suspension alone, but it is a machine that will effortlessly blaze the trails at 50mph, and easily take jumps with 6 ft of air, and 20ft lengths, not to mention sells for $6000+....After a couple of rides in these conditions, it is not a hard decision to determine a good suspension is a must....Cheap shocks and a suspension that is not geometrically correct can really be a handfull in these conditions, but not as much in a machine that might average 25mph and could not safely handle that type of abuse to begin with......Face it....Most of the frames and safety standards on these buggys are not designed to handle the abuse a lot of people try to throw at them....Some think because it has a roll cage, it's indestructable....I keep hearing about people wanting to put big bike engines, beefed up suspension, etc. on them...Next thing you know, they have a buggy that will run 60mph,take a jump, and leave you dead when it rolls at that speed because the frame and cage are not adequate.... Sorry to rant on, but it's all to prove my point...These buggys for the most part are not designed to take the abuse that would justify putting that much money in a suspension....Next thing you know, you would have four good shocks, and nothing left to put them on..... Everyone has to decide what they want out of their ride.i just want a smoother ride that well absorb ruts and not break my spine.Ive noticed most people talk about their suspension being to soft, well i figure if you dont bottom out once in a while, like from jumps you would normaly take then your riding around without using much travel and your ride isnt so good.you could take normal atv shocks as a base, just have them the right length for different buggys and get an idea of what strength springs, ive heard the number 150lb thrown around.normal affordable shocks.ever notice how cheap car shocks are?sixty bucks for air shocks!i have banshee shocks on the back of my dune and even with them on the softest setting i dont think they have ever bottomed out, most of the time the dirt line is about halfway up the shaft, the rear does feel smooth and works good.i just bought raptor shocks to put on the front, and think this well do the trick, for me.if people cant afford a buggy or the mods, then the amount of people buying them well remain small.ill bet more people had dirt bikes in the mid seventys than do now, mabe im an old fart, but bikes were fine with around nine inches of travel and being air cooled.and affordable!a dune 150 with some cvt mods and shocks that work would be fine for a lot of people.you really have to watch out for out-tricking yourself.the price of toys and available places to ride well determine the future of offroading.

I must say, having a set of shocks that are made for that vehicle is awesome. We had Works make a set for my 250, not for jumping, but for just cruising around and what a difference they made. It just soaks up the ruts and bumps now. Well worth the money I spent on them. Again, they are not for jumping, i just wanted a smooth ride while cruising around with my kid.
