Floating around Florida somewhere. Every now and then I see his name pop up on the logs, but he certainly hasn't been talking much!

Thanks a lot heath, I just spent a day modding my Talon and your tips for the filter helped me get my shopping list together.

my uni came in not to long ago. After riding around yesterday(without it) i was thinking about instaling a snorkal uni to keep the water out or at least lessen how much it gets wet. would this help and what type of hose should I use. I was thinking of the hose you use for dryers.

Slip the hose over the whole filter? Give it a try. I don't think anyone has tried that approach. IF the buggy runs like dirty diaper with it, just give up on the idea. I've tried a couple times to run a snorkel intake and it never worked for me. A snorkel into an airbox will work, but not directly into the carb. The carb doesn't seem to like drawing it's air from a straw--even a large straw.

I hope yours turns out better.

I'm postponing the snorkal idea, just want to get me kart running. Something's wrong with my carb and i'm installing reverse.

Went to home depot today and picked up the parts for my uni. The drain tube it chrome plated not stainless steel. And it rubber couplings work better because of their flexibility. Check your carb before buying parts. My carb has a 1 1/4 o.d. so the 1 1/2 parts are to big.

Look at your dad's Yerf (my old ride) and you'll see this rubber connector:

It's a section of radiator hose that goes from 1 1/4 to 1 1/2". I never had any luck finding a plumbing rubber boot that fit this transition.
