As many of you know my engine wouldnt start. I took it to a scooter dealer and they told me that the engine is most likely blown. So they are goin to tear it down and see.
I always wished my buggy was fully manual. So is there an atv out there or something that is fully manual with a couple of gears that the swing arm will fit in nearly perfect in the buggy. If not what is the closest fit. I would like a 125cc or higher.
or by any chance can i get a gy6 that is fully manual. kart is a peace gk-02
See a compression check would have saved you some money. Theres alot of quad motors out there but none will just drop in. You'll at the least have to center it and weld in new mounts.

If ya don't mind me asking, Do you know this dealer well? These engines do breakdown often but a their statment of "it might be a blown engine" kinda sends up a red flag.
Are you sure this engine is toast?
Did the engine turn over? Did you check for spark?
If ya do go with a new engine ya might want to stay with a 150 or move up to a 250. both engines are easy to come by.
It got fuel, air, spark, properly adjusted valves, proper timing, new stator, new starter motor, new cylinoid, new cdi, new coil, new flasher, perfect wiring, compression was like 142 psi, no intake leaks, no vacuum leaks, it turns over. So I dont know. That should make it start but it wont.
I dont know him well but he has many scooters, atv's, lawnmowers that are being fixed, 3 employees, a big warehouse so im assuming he knows his stuff.
I dont think im going to do the atv swap. Im going to just get a 250 if the engie is dead.
i highly doubt your engine is shot. you got spark, gas, air, good electrical,ect... and it turns over. i think something was overlooked! make sure the place you brought it to has a good rep. i had a six month old generator that did the same thing. bought it to a service place and was told it was shot. it was water in the gas.
I've been saying this. Either something was overlooked or you got a false reading somewhere. The motor is not blown with 143 comp, and no trouble turning it over. You should have taken it to BigE close to Atlanta. I know some guy's wth big shops and warehouses and all that. It means they have money. Some of the best work under a shade tree
What ever it is I hope you get it worked out.

If you have all those things your engine is not shot. Some is over looked.I would dble check you ig timing and valve timing.
yea, everything was checked more than twice. The gas is fine because i have used the same gas thats in the kart now in my lawnmower, and car. The fuse is fine, and is the right size.
And, honestly I dont expect it to be blown with that much compression. And since it was running perfectly untill it bogged down and came to a complete stop and didnt have enouh power to go. Im hoping he will find something we overlooked.
