We just got our new Roketa GK-32 this weekend. It's a fuel injected model. I like the new changes they've made this year. New throttle pedal and all light switches are in the center switch panel now. Got to say that thing is way down on power for 800cc. It doesn't rev well past say, 5000-5500. The RPMs seem to want to break up in the mid range under acceleration. Not sure if it's an ignition or fuel issue. Still have stock air cleaner on but it did it driving down the street with the aircleaner out also. Made one run, just to see. We would like input on what's available in the aftermarket ignition and fuel side such higher pressure pumps and higher flow fuel injectors. Also what about aftermarket chips for the ECM and ignition systems? I will be looking at the cam regrinds and a turbo is definitley in the short term future. Is anybody making a ggod header for these engines in the buggy body? What about larger throttle bodies? I've seen some stuff on the Suzuki performance websites but they seem to more geared toward the 4 cylinder engines. Sorry about all the questions. You guys seem to be a bit ahead of me on the research, so I figured I'd check here first. Thanks. Bill[/img][/b]

Hello!...Hello! Is this thing on??? Come in Tokyo. Breaker, breaker 1-9. Well, I figured out one of my low power problems. Timing was about 5 degrees too low. Talk about waking it up. Finally runs clean up through 6000 rpm. Got an MSD 6AL and Blaster coil for it. Hopefully get it on this weekend. :P Still looking for info on larger fuel injectors. Anybody??? What about throttle bodies? Thanks for any input.

Most of us have the older carb version, have not heard of anyone with the fuel injected model who has done anything along those lines.

Sorry...keep us posted on your progress though, I am sure it will help someone out in the future :D

Most of my upgrades would not be of help to you...
be aware of the alternator coming into contact with the axles on the older models and strap the shocks because the CV's overextend and are a week link on these buggies.

good luck and have fun

Chris

I think they fixed the alternator bracket on the newer models. It doesn't look like it could come in contact with the axle anymore. I jacked the back of the buggy up until the wheels came off the ground and noticed that the wheels only dropped about an inch before the shocks were extended out to the max. I saw all the posts about the axels breaking and am going to strap them. But there was hardly any more angle in them with the wheels off the ground than when it was sitting at rest. I'm beginning to think the broken axels may be due to wheels spinning too fast on landing. Granted they are weak axels too. I don't want the shocks to be the limiter though. Thanks for the reply. :D

I'm not too disappointed with the power now. It will jump up to about 55 mph fairly quick. I've started putting together my turbo parts. Hopefully before the summer is done, I'll have everything. The dimebag tribute is cool. Pantera  rocks!

If you're going to turbo your buggy I'd suggest a Perfect Power SMT6 piggyback controller. Shouldn't be too hard to setup.

I have an 800 EFI, just removed the stock snorkel. I am waiting for delivery of a UNI. Not sure which motor I have but on the valve cover it says HUAIHAI. I need to find the timing specs and check where its set.

I believe your 800 is just like mine. I've seen another one with the same brand on the valve cover. When I looked at mine, it looked like that same brand name had been machined off of the valve cover with a mill. Timing is supposed to be 7 degrees BTC according to my info sticker on the motor. It's checked off of the flywhhel through a hole in the bellhousing. I'd never seen that before. Learn something new every day. Thanks for the turbo controller info too. :D
