I'm new to all things buggy but I did all my homework by constantly referring back to this site from all other internet sites, local shops and ebay's. Loads of great info, and I decided to go with FGK and the AB150. Yes I could've went with a dealer and the HH150 for exactly $800 more, but I am a tight wad and $2000 is a lot this time of year. Jay at familygokarts was very nice and very helpful. I called them at least 3 times before I bought and they were always helpful. They said I should expect it by next week so I'm not assembling it on Christmas eve. I'll post at each step with pictures if possible. I'm pretty typical of a newbie; I want it low price, good quality, fast replies, great tech service and parts. [-o< FGK seems like they want to deliver all that! I'll let everyone know and try to be fair in my evaluation. Caviar dreams and bologna budget.

As of right now I am still going through a headache with familygokarts. Early Nov. I ordered a Blade 70kt so I could beat the x-mas rush. First the shipping company lost the package. After finding the package(2 days later) it still took several more days to get it to me. The woman that tracked my package was a totally different #/person than I had delt with through my emails, calls, and ordering. The package arrived in great shape considering it made several extra stops along the way. Well putting it together was pretty much a breeze although I had to space the seat bolts and the instructions were terrible. I had several tech questions so I called and didn't get to talk to anyone direct but someone was supposed to call me back. Needless to say I had to call back and question the tech support. After doing this someone named Jeff called me back and couldn't even answer all my questions(so much for tech support) but did give me the # for Stu who was helpful. After talking to Stu I realized all of the parts I had missing. I emailed FGC again and I recieved a email from Angela and a email from Jeff that I found questionable. I forwarded it back to Angela so she could explain it but I felt as if her explaination was more of an excuse. Well I contacted the parts dept. so I can get the missing and wrong parts I recieved so I was sent a form to fill out. I filled out the form sent it back and asked for conformation which I never recieved. I then contacted Angela again(who is very helpful) to have her look into the parts and was then sent another form from the parts dept.. I know the first form went through but whatever I need those parts so I sent it again but did get conformation this time. Well as of right now it's about a week from x-mas I still waiting for my parts and parts@familygokarts hasn't been much of a help. I sent Mindy at parts a email yesterday asking her to check into my parts order. She did email me back saying she ordered the parts at the beginning of Dec. but wasn't able to contact Blade to get the status of the order. Most of the tech support I got came from BIGE and steelbilly and they were very helpful with pictures and very detailed info. Most of the parts I need I could buy myself but thats not what I payed for but at this point i'm running out of time. My lady and I will be in the market for another buggy for ourselves in the future and it probably won't be from familygokarts. I really like the Blade 70kt and all of the other Blades but I don't know at this point if I would buy another one. If a small problem has been this hard to deal with I hope nothing serious ever goes wrong. If so i'll just forget the tech support/warranty and go at it myself.

I'm finding even the best have their bad days. Please don't let me be there that day! I was looking at a HH150 at a dealership nearby because I read that buying locally from dealer is better. While I'm there some guy comes in cussing them out about taking care of a new customer...repeated trips back for the right part...this is B.S....blah blah. This is the biggest dealer in the 3 state area. Yeah they were nice to me, but I start thinking maybe they are screwups on a major level. Not likely; and now I see that every once in a while, circumstances fall apart for some unlucky person. Woe to the company, if the person is vocal in their displeasure. Sometimes, however, these complaints are a fair and accurate warning. I've heard more good than bad about family go karts and I like what they stand for, I hope they're not having a bad day when my AB150 gets shipped. I'll continue to let everyone know about my own experience, isolated incidents or dangerous patterns... I have to give them the benefit of the doubt due to the weight of positives over problems.

My entry wasn't a woe as me reply. I to did my research and had looked at several different sites. I did all the web searches I possibly could and only found 2 neg. entries on familygokarts. Maybe I am one of a few isolated incidents but if everything was as it was supposed to be when it came I wouldn't be in this position. All I wanted is for my problem to be taken care as fast as my questions were replied to the 10 or so times I contacted them before I made a purchase. I realize it's x-mas time and things move slow but i'm beginning to have my doubts. If they take care of me and all is well i'll make a post of the positive outcome. The price was great, shipping wasn't their falt, but missing parts, unreturned phone calls, slow after the purchase service, and a backhanded email(b/c Jeff didn't like what I had to say) to me is unacceptable. Everyone is always great when things go great but true colors show when the hard times come. At no time did I curse, yell, or say anything nasty except how the situation was handled would strongly influence where I purchased my next buggy. My hopes were very high of them at the start but as time goes on i'm not sure what to think. I'm not trying to scare you away and hope everything goes as planned for your X-Mas. I actually love the buggy and know the kids will I just wanted to share my ongoing experience with someone.

I ordered my buggy on 12/14(Fri), Family Go Karts placed the order on 12/17(Mon.)and it was shipped that day. It arrived at my house on Wed. *1st note of caution* UPS uses a SEMI for residential delivery! They wouldn't go up my driveway(150') because of a low branch might damage the trailer. After some creative thinking by the UPS driver (my wife was the only one at home), he unhooked the cab from his truck tied a rope to the steel shipping frame under the cardboard and DRUG it up my gravel driveway( free driveway grading included with purchase!) The frame broke about 50 feet from the garage and he could pull it no further. I pushed the 600+lb monster with my Dakota the last 50' into the garage. No damage from the push/pull but unsecured parts wore off alot of paint on the frame during its 3000 mile trip. That was my only real big problem! Family Go Karts still returns my calls and emails and sent forms for shipping damage. I'll continue to post on claims and parts from them.
Now about the product...I'm amazed it ran when I was done because I am mechanically and directionally challenged. I should've at least tried to assemble in order of the limited instuctions but if I can get it done probably any one can! They need to have more detailed instructions on assembly, sorry I don't know an a-arm from a spindle from a thingy with two bolts on it. I buggered up a thread inside tube frame which just so happened to have the gas tank on it. Machine shop fixed. What is a saddle washer? Oh, now I see that its all put together where they go... I'll send more comments soon, since it is running now I must go help my daughters ride before I start to service it!

I'm glad everything went well for you but it didn't seem like it took to much to go the other way for me. Hope your kids enjoy and have a safe and happy holiday season. :D :D :D
