Ya its air cooled. It has an oil cooler. I was going to put a big fan on it. And it looks like it would work the best for mounting above the transmission. any Other idea's that wouldn't kill the sportsman 500 transmission? thanks

some of the guys at mb.net are claimimg that polaris says 80 hp thru the trans....i would think that nearly any 600 stock in form would do.....like gsxr 600 claims 105 or so, so at the sproket its prolly around 80, if it was me i would find a sled motor i think, or use a atv motor....cvt would be best IMO, especially for 4x4....

If you can get your hands on a newer 600 you'll be past that. In bikes they are making 105-112 at the rear wheel. My 03 750 made 130 at the rear wheel with a tune.

2001 gsxr 600 is rated at 105 hp-110 depending on who is writing it up, i cant see more than 80 to the rear wheels myself....But hey, i may be wrong....Maybe ill get my car on a dyno when its done....

Is it in the bike now, if not and it doesnt crank or fire i should say, it may have a roll over protector on it...Just a heads Up, I had my harness rebuilt profesionaly at hyper racing, and i thought they removed the roll over sensors, i tried for a half hour before i relized the little box was hanging upside down, lol.....Anyway keep us filled in....Need any moral support were here.... 8)
