ok, so while i was waiting for my new head studs (lack of a torque wrench and some 'goodntight' mentality), i decided to mount my trail whip. I started with a large hasp, brazed an 8 inch piece of metal to it, drilled some holes and utilized some u bolts to attach it to the frame. I needed it to fold down, so i could park it in my normal sized garage. Since i also wanted a battery tender, i installed the battery side of the tender, ran the 4 ft of wire up to the top near the whip and used another 2 way plug to the light.

(i have since bought and used a torque wrench, and i'm glad to say the buggy is now running well-still have to do some fine tuning though, so a few more days before my final 300ft time post)

oops, forgot to mention the cable clamps used to secure the whip to the bracket.

Looks good.
You might want to think about putting some acorn nuts on the top of those ubolts.
