Ordered rear fox shocks from Glade, last week should be arriving shortly. Also I'm cutting my teeth with a dune 150/cn250 engine swap, the big picture is mating that 250 SV frame with an engine it deserves. A rider I met with a Rhino took me for a spin, that power would be great in the SV but a shock upgrade is a must, ( for our area). Whe I start looking for a replacement I want auto and f/r you guys tell me which engines fit the criteria.

I say go for it with the 600. Joyner should quit playing, that 27hp 650cc should be in this frame or an option.

Greg

Look I get hit with ".. why don't they just.." stuff all day. However this is different. This is stuff that really matters.

Why can't the buggy guys...

1) Put a 250cc engine in a smaller 150cc frame. Single seater would be a great start.

2) Put a 500cc or 650cc engine in the 250cc frame. A single seater in this platform would also be a good start.

My guess is that it's a numbers game.

Why can' they then just make the parts available for us at a reasonable cost so we can do it ourselves.

If only...

I think liability plays a part in it also. 16 yr old kids have been balancing themselves on 2 wheels for over a decade, but their driving skills are suspect to say the least. Like I always say, to get a drivers license you only need to fool one person.

kinroad has a 250 in a 150 frame, its a solid rear axle and rides really rough. someone could take a swing arm from the kinroad and use it on a hammerhead, carter, if they wanted a solid rear axle.

or build a back half like the joyners, hammerhead, blade 250 and put it on the back of a 150. that would get expensive.

Seems like the easier solution would be to fix it at the factory level.
