i bought a used 2006 model cater talon gx150 the other day brought it home cleaned it up and started to ride it just cking it out runs ok lubed it , changed engine oil, put in new spark plug, new gas with gas treatment runs ok bit when you push down gas more then 2/3 down it starts to miss and stall out if you let up on gas it smooths out fine and runs ok but again if you go any futher with gas pedel it stalls almost seems as if a gov was attacted to it. inspecting plug there is a lot of carbon build up even after only a few minutes of running any body know what could be causeing problem (fuel, carb adjustment, electical problem) any help would be welcome.

There is an automatic choke on the carburetor. It is supposed to shout off the enrichment circuit when it warms. Remove the choke and apply 12VDC to the leads, the brass plunger should extend after 10 minutes.

If that dont help try cleaning the carb and checking your electrical connections and grounds
