I have an idea why dont bige just give us a free "hit clutch" so we can test it and write reviews about what we think. sounds like the perfect idea to me
Even the people that bought one at discount have not reported back their experiences. I did drive a GSR150 with the HIT and feel it had good engagement. I only worry that the HIT clutch will grab so well that your belt will wear faster when it slips against the variable pulleys...
I am still on my stock clutch after over three years and have an OEM on hand when the original wears. I think my low gearing and driving style has saved my clutch from the wear others have put on theirs. I did burn up a belt on sand while carrying two people prior to gearing down, but my stock clutch was just fine.

i am on my 3rd clutch within 3 months. my belt does not even show it has ever slipped. but gearing down did help alot. before i geared from the 15 gram rollers to the 10's i burnt the stock clutch up within a week or so. the second clutch was from a overheated cvt and it melted the clutch arms. im on 9gram rollers now so we will see how long this one last. but it does still slip i think when im climbing

I also have a 13t engine sprocket and 39t axle sprocket to run my 22" tires. I'm probably the lowest geared GY6 on the forum unless someone is running really short tires.

Do you have the reverse assembly on your yerf dog? I have a dune 150 and I think I have the 16t upper sprocket(have to check)and a 39t lower. How hard was it to get the 13t to match up?

I do not have reverse on this buggy. I sold the 4209 with my Tomberlin Punisher reverse unit. It had a 16t sprocket and never had problems, but I missed the lower gearing of the 13t.
You could easily convert to non-reverse by replacing the output shaft and engine sprocket. Some people have to shim their axle sprocket to line up with the engine sprocket.
I have the original 4209 parts when I converted it to reverse. PM if you're interested in only going forward...

Thanks, but for the riding I do, reverse is a very good option to have. I wish there was a way to try out the 13t sprocket with the reverse assembly in tact.

Buggies that have the internal reverse can go to the 13t sprocket, but external reverse units would not clear such a small diameter sprocket. You would see a big difference in even one or two teeth, but I do not know of anyone selling any smaller sprockets.

It only took afew rides to see that the stock setup on my dune 150 wasnt right.i think shimming the clutch and changing the sprocket for a 39 makes a big difference,i already notice that i have my buggy rapped out,i dont know what my top speed is but i wish it was more.my clutch is wore down preety good,in the future i think a fresh clutch, mabe stock with the yellow spring and mabe a different variator fan is in order.i noticed the clutch bell was blue!so i have the clutch cover off and the snorkle off also.oh yeah i have the 10 gram rollers.when i go up really big hills i take a run at it and just at the top it kinda poops out,ive made it everytime but i want it to still be screaming along, more mods are in the future, exhaust.

i also have a question myself. i noticed today that my buggy is jerking at low speeds. i think the clutch is going out again. this will be my 4th clutch in 6 months. i put springs in my 2nd clutch and i didnt notice any difference but i overheated the cvt the next day after the install and stretched the springs so i took them out when i installed the new clutch.
will adding 2k clutch arm springs help me from burning clutches up? spending all this money on a clutch is getting old!
also i used my same bell but just took a dremel and more less sanded down the inside with a grinding disk until it was nice and shiny but scuffed up well. did i do right by grinding is down some because it slipped for a little while until i held the brake and gas and burnt the new off the clutch
