Did you install his carb/header/exhaust system? He only seemed to have one option. What others do you know of. $1,100 seems a bit expensive for a carb/header and exhaust? He said it nearly doubles the hp.? What are your thoughts? Thanks

Hi Chris,
I did not use these items as I elected to do headwork and a cam for less than half that amount. The options, as I understood them, were that there were two different header styles that you could purchase seperately. A Joyner style and his own design. He also sells individual Weber carbs, but you'd be on your own unless you had him put a kit together for you.
I would understand if he prefers to sell a complete systems approach. You get all the bits and pieces to make this work. A high flow fuel pump, the carb, adapter, air cleaner, linkages, header, muffler etc. This way he is assured that the customer will be satisfied with the results. He has dyno tested these systems so the results are real. Plus he has invested his time and money in getting these results.
I can't speak for the price. But I have been quoted $300 on up for just a header. Add an aluminum performance muffler, the cost of the carb, adapter plate, fuel pump, air cleaner etc and it does add up pretty fast. How much? I don't really know as I never priced it all out.
