I bought a cart about 2 years ago for my kids, but since i've been lurking on ths forum for the past few weeks, I have gotten more interested in off road carting.
From the info i've gathered from this site, I think my cart is a KPX150. the owners manual doesn't have a brand name on it , but it has the model of "Z-2150R" which matches the stickers on the cart. it's in good shape, but has a few small things that need to be fixed, such as the headlights. I ordered some from Blade last week and hope to put them on this weekend.
One quick question - if the stator is bad, will the cart run and just not charge the battery or will it not run at all?
Thanks for your help. I look forward to learning and having fun on this forum. i'm an old car guy so this is a nice change of pace.

I've lived in Dallas most of my life and am raising 2 great daughters here. I took the youngest to Red River Trails last weekend. its 1.5 hours north of Dallas. They have about 3000 acres of trails. We had a great time. This was the first big outing for the buggy and we didn't have any major issues except me running into a tree and bending the tie rod, but i was able to beat it back in shape and adjust the toe with a few turns of the wrench. No worries, just fun.
Next weekend we're headed to Lake Murray ORV trails in far southern OK. it's also about 1.5 hours north.
I'm hoping to find some other Dallas-based buggy owners so we can all meet there. It was fun, but a bit lonely since I was the only buggy amongst a bajillion motorcycles and 4wheelers. Everyone was nice though, so it was all good.
Yeah, I've thought about welding a sleeve around it with some tubing, but then i'd probably snap the tie rod end if a hit another tree. I'll eventually break something so I guess it's a matter of making sure the easiest part to replace breaks first. With this in mind, a tie rod is an easy trail fix with a pair of channel locks. An extra tie rod is probably a good investment.
