Hello all, New to this site ..Old school to buggies, I'm a small builder in eastern central Minnesota, I build Small racing Buggies, and a member of several forums. I wasn't sure where to post this so I just tossed it out there...I will include a few pics. of the model 460's They have a wheel base of 72" and are 50" wide with 10" of wheel travel...And 2 cylender 2 stroke power plants...They tip the scales at just under 300 pounds..we race them year round...dirt oval in the summer and with studded tires on the ice in the winter, I haven't seen a build forum here ...Maybe I'm just blind...There are 2 more buddies that I'm in the process of building One for the wife...It has a 500cc. power plant engine,14.5 " travel, Electric reverse, rack and pinion steering, if any body is interested in seeing it I can post some pics of that as well. The next project will be my buggy that will have a CBR 1000 POWER PLANT,canelevr control arms around 18" of wheel travel. thanks...

Welcome!
Those buggies look great. I bet they're a total blast on tight trails. Look kind of hard to get in and out of though. Do you have any vids of these? I'd love to see one in action.
I had quite a few but they were on my puter and it crashed a couple of months ago wiped out blueprints all my photos and videos... Yes they are A tight fit but designed thay way so not much room to flail around in a cras...the new equivilant is almost a full foot longer and a foot wider...and has 12" of wheel travel but no longer will be offered with hand controls... I forgot to mention that all of the 460's had hand controls Her's a pic of my wifes as it sits now...

Nice buggies!! I noticed on the wife's buggy the front suspension does not appear to have any preload. Lots of clearance though. What do you think that build will weigh when complete? Also do you prefer the independent trailing arms over A-arms? I like the look of the frames. I especially like the specs on those 460's. Nice and light as well as narrow. That is the desired weight and width. How much power do they make?
The buggy you are going to make with the CBR1000 you said you were going to use a cantilever control arms, I am not sure I know what that is can you elaborate?
Try to find some video. I am a video junkie..
I moved this thread to home built buggy projects since it covers some really nice home built buggies. I wanted all others that build to find it in a search.
