I have a 2007 Joyner 650cc Sand Spider. I am in need of 2 different small parts that are back ordered through Joyner and I would like to find elsewhere in order to get them quicker. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm hoping there is a dealer somewhere in the US who has these parts in stock and ready to order, or maybe even someone who is parting one out. Even an exact replica cross referenced to something else would be fine.

The following info & part #'s are from Joyner parts catolog.

qty1 D650.03.02.00.04A (Disc Base)
qty1 D650.03.02.00.01 (Shaft Carrier)

That's tough there. You might pm WestCoast and see if he knows what will cross reference and fit. Something off of an 800 might work. Most of the buggy parts are used in multiple applications. How long have your parts been back-ordered?

I called just today and the parts MIGHT be on the current shipment from their warehouse. The shipment is currently on the way but they said it wouldnt be there for a few weeks! until then I cant enjoy the last little but of good weather this state has to offer....uggggg.

Who or what it this West Coast you speak of? I will call Joyner tomorrow and see if the part is used on any other models of theirs and order that one. But i figured if that were the case then they would have suggested that...I would hope so anyways...

WestCoast is a member on this sight. He builds up a lot of buggies in California, and is very knowledgeable about the larger buggies. He specializes in the Roketa 800's but might be able to help you out. I didn't notice which category you posted this in, but you should re-post in the sections for buggies over 400cc.

looking at the 650cc that Kinroad makes, the rear end pice that I need look very similar if not exactly the same...i may be able to use a part from a different buggy, I just need a way to clarify and make sure....what a pain in the rear end..

So I just did some comparing with all the other Joyner makes and models via their parts manuals on their website and this is what I found. Not sure if it will help me but regardless....

The 2 parts i need ( bearing block a.k.a shaft carrier) & the ( disk base) are the exact same part and part # on the following vehicles:

650 Sand Spider
800 Mini Viper
1100 Sand Viper

And then these vehicles all have the same same part and part #

1100 Trooper
650 Cammando
800 Renegade

I find it really hard to believe, with as popular as the 800 viper seems to be ( i see a lot of for sale ads and parts listings for them), that NO ONE would carry these parts... My next step is in the morning, to call Joyner as well as the references Peter gave me, and see if ANYONE has the part for ANY of those 3 similar models...maybe Ill get lucky and these ppl are looking by model not by part #...(wishful thinking).

After that my next question would be, that if they had these parts in stock for the 2nd group of vehicles (trooper/cammando/renegade), would they work on my Sand Spider without major modification and what are the main differences. I cant see them being TOO much different.

After doin my research, Ill post up if I find out anything useful. Hopefully MAYBE this info will broadin my chances.

A lot of work to avoid a 3 week shipping period from Asia....geeeez

So after all the frantic searching for these parts, it seems I will have them all TOMORROW =D> [-o<

I must have some really good Karma built up and done something good for someone somewhere some point in time...Either that or god jsut loves me. lol

I called Joyner this morning and turns out that YESTERDAY, another customer decided they ordered some parts they didnt need and returned them. And wouldnt you know it the aprts happened to be the parts that (I) needed!! So they are overnighting them to me and will be ehre tomorrow.

Crazy how things work out sometimes. I appreciate all the help and references from you guys though, Ill definently hold on to them for future occasions.

Matt
