Does anyone know of a site for problems with a belt slipping or can anyone here tell me what has to be tightened for the belt not to slip on this thing. It rides good, has power.but if you get it in a strain with two people on it, you can tell or smell that it is a belt or something, slipping.
If one person is riding it , it doesnt do that. And someone just told me that the belt needed tightening? So we took the cover off and didnt see where to adjust the belt. Thanks for all info. Have a great day! lfwisener :(

There is no belt adjustment. To get less belt slippage you'll need to change to lighter variator rollers and a stronger clutch spring. These mods keep the gearing lower longer and allow better pulling power as well as allowing less slippage. It's not that big a job and parts are only $50 or so.You'll save that much in replacement belts.Use the search function for more info.
But if you're loading the buggy to heavily it's gonna slip no matter what you do. Even if it had a belt tensioner you would still have belt slippage if it were overloaded or in a bind ( i.e. too steep an embankmet or stuck against an obstacle).
