I checked the kill switch, and found that it was stuck in the "pushed in" position. In a constant state of "kill", if you will. Anyway, I disconnected it, and now I have no current at the CDI. I jumped the 2 wires going to the kill switch, and still have no power. I feel like I've begun to figure it out.

The CDI has 2 plugs; a 1 wire plug. That wire is white w/blk stripe, and appears to carry current into the CDI.
The 4 wire plug has 2 green wires - (grounds, I guess), a blue wire w/ white stripe, which dissapears into the harness, and a blk wire w/a ylw strpie that goes to the coil. I'm assuming the blk/ylw wire carries current to the coil.
Should I get current coming out of the cdi at the blk/ylw wire? Because I'm not under any circumstances; ie. cranking, ignition on or off.
Your CDI is DC powered off the ignition switch or a relay controlled by the switch. Here are the wire destinations:
white/black - DC Power green - ground blue/white - Flywheel Pickup Sensor black/yellow - Coil Trigger

no if the kills wire are put together you are grounding out the cdi.

I just read that you replaced the CDI a couple weeks ago - did you replace it with another stock CDI or an aftermarket DC-powered CDI? Most CDIs for sale out there are AC powered CDIs - this could be part of the problem.
Now that you found the kill switch issue, put your stock CDI back in and test. Also, check for blown fuses.

I have had two different issues over the yrs w/the GTR loosing spark... the first time I was blowing fuses occasionally, then due to mud & crud the the main fuse would not nessacarily blow but was not making good connection, I wired in a new sealed heavy duty holder & did not have future issues for quite some time... till our Mem Day bash last yr, after a 1/2 days worth of riding just out of the blue (while out on a trail ride) I simply lost fire (no spark), fiddled w/it a bit then just had Pgh tow me back to the truck--at which time she just fired up (having done nothing other than the tow) I did; after that incident, inspect & clean all connections, but never felt I had found the reason for my temporary lack of fire & Ive never had this issue again since. Ive never been able to find a cause to explain this one time "Cranky [temporary] Condition" other than it was very warm & dusty/dirty & we were working the buggys pretty hard that afternoon. I shrug my shoulders in bewilderment but enjoy the fact that this has been 1 year ago now, & have never had this prob since !! I quess she didnt like the fact that a Joyner had towed her in... I told you she was cranky/picky (thats why I know our GTR is a Female)...

Mike, The replacement CDI is stock. I spoke to CB today. The guy at tech support (Chuck) was very nice. He emailed me a service manual. He explaind that I can test the stator by;
Switch the test meter from AC to DC touch the green (ground) post on the coil ground the other test lead Crank the motor. I should get 12 v of dc current.
If not, the stator is bad. (I got nothing)
If you get 12v of current while cranking, and do not have spark, the problem is probably the coil, the wire, or the resistor.
