Ok I agree thats really cool and hes doing a great job.
It looks perfect as if store bought.
Well done.

And the tranny now has my attention.

I was thinking of going sprocket.
The only reason I think of this is because I think I can design and build my own in my garage.

But it would be nice to have forward and reverse.
And shoot that low high is sweet too.
Like I said I am liking this now that you showed me.
Very cool would have never thought of it on my own.

Hmm going to have to think on this one.

Thanks again very cool.

That is what I did to my 150 a while ago. I put a 350 2 stroke in it with a HLNR gearbox from a Polaris atv.

One word: Nice.

Couple more words,
Store bought, factory.
Very clean.

Ok you guys are really giving me stuff to think about
I like it.

So 350cc's
What is the biggest they are rated for?
My cars are a little bigger, shoot time to shrink my frame
down again...

Shrink my frame and do like a 650 etc. would be
awesome I think.
And have the HLNR

Maybe I will try both at some point
The sprocket for the smaller car for my nephews as it will
be small and we can push it etc. and they will be driving at
open places like Glamis.
So I save weight and get the most power to the wheels
for the cc's I will be using going through a chain and sprocket
and done.
Can build all of that out of my garage I believe.

Then try another one with the HLNR for the older kids
and bigger motor for going on ride with us so they have
the reverse if they get into trouble etc. they can back up and go around and not have to jump out all the time.

Ok good input.

Mind if I ask what price range are they running for?
The HLNR?
And where have you guys been buying them?
Then what cc's are they rated up to?

Thank you.
:)

Heck, I bought the atv for maybe 300 bucks, I kept the wiring, engine and tranny, then parted out the rest of the quad and got back more than I paid for it. My next project will be using a 700cc snowmobile engine with reverse built in the engine. Should be putting out about 110 ponies. :D

Ok so ebay or buy the entire bike.
Got it.

And a 700?
So the tranny is good for 700?
Ok great to know.

So Polaris is Im sure my best bet it sounds like?
Seems like thats what I have heard in most posts
is people using the HLNR from Polaris and there
motors.
If I buy the bike in one shot then of course I will
use them both etc.

But if I do ebay and buy seperatly etc.
Just gathering info.

I like certain other engines but I know I will pay out
the nose and there are just less of the engines I like.

Ok cool good to know.

And the Cali Buggy Bash?
More info please as I live in Cali. so this could work out.
Little car may not be done but if its open to my bigger uhm but still smaller than most cars...
I could bring it?

Thanks again everyone.
:D
