o.k. guys, i found the tire and wheel set-up i like but have one final question. i'm looking at the douglas wheels and they offer the .125, 1.60 and .190 aluminum wheel. i assume that the .125 wheel is fine for trail riding??? i don't race it or do any severe riding or jumping but for the extra few bucks on the .160, is it worth it?? what do you guys run?

You can use the lightest one on the front, but I would select the mid grade for the rear. Your buggy puts a lot more weight on the wheels than a quad. I have started looking at the SxS rims more due to their weight ratings for my 250 and 650.

well, i went with the 22x7-10 dunlops on douglas .160 polished wheels and everything worked out great i can do a full turn without rubbing (within about 1/4 from the frame). i did have to take my dremmel to the center hole on the wheel though. needed to shave just a little off to get the wheel over the hub, no biggie. it handles much better with these wheels on it. thanks to all for the guidance and feedback

Dave and G-Ray, do the 22" fronts fit with the front fenders on?

The stock tires are too short and the knobs are too small, in my opinion. Taller tires with better knobs should help the steering immensely. They'll help it climb over obstacles better too.

it's a couple hundred dollar upgrade for tires and wheels but WOW what a difference. i had those pee-pee 8" tires and all it would to was push. some of that is because of the live axle but when i installed the 10" wheels a lot of that went away. the type of tire makes a difference also. the tread pattern will help with the pushing in corners....unless your in mud then we all know it a free-for all

I finally got the ITP .190 rims and Duro tires mounted last night. I had to take 1mm of the inner diameter of the rims as expected. The tires appear to be nice but they are WAY too tall for the fenders. I guess all 22x7x10s are not all created equal.
I need to buy a welder................

We finally got to spend some time with the new tires a WOW is a good word for them. Most of the push is gone. Of course the fenders are too. I do think I figured out a very easy way to mount them to the frame with some clamps. So maybe all is well.
