I just installed the Dr. Pulley clutch and variator in my buggy this weekend, and was really disapointed.
The clutch came with 3 sets of clutch springs and 3 sets of pillow springs. I installed the medium springs for the clutch and pillows, and 10 gram sliders (and yellow main spring).
When I first drove the buggy, the rpms were way high before it would start moving, but take-off was worse than stock. Top speed was about the same. Tried climbing a hill and she barely made it. Was wondering if I wasted a bunch of money.
So tonight I installed the lightest springs for both the clutch and pillows. Then took out the 10 gram sliders and installed (3) 10 gram rollers and (3) stock rollers (not sure of stock roller weight).
Buggy was in garage on some carpet. Started it up and gave her alittle gas. It started moving like it use to with the stock clutch. Then nailed the gas and she took off spinning the tires-on carpet!
Took it for a quick spin down the street and didn't lose any top end. Drove up on the grass and hit the gas. Again, took off spinning the tires. She NEVER did that before, and this is only a 150cc buggy. With the Endrigo head, I knew I had the power, but something was missing. Once you get the Dr. Pulley clutch and variator dialed in, it makes a huge difference in how the buggy drives. It was getting late, so didn't get a chance to try any climbing, hopefully tomorrow.
So, like you, I was very impressed (so far) with the results of the new clutch and different rollers. Money well spent-in my opinion!
Rob

I did test the new head with the stock clutch. I had good take-off, and climbed hills decent, but couldn't spin tires unless buggy was moving a bit first.
Now the clutch hooks up instantly, with-out engine bogging. I'm really impressed with how it's performing now (finally). The head really seemed to help bottom end torque, but the stock clutch just didn't handle it like the Dr. Pulley can.
I really need to test it on some good hills now, in order to make a final judgement. But so far i'm very happy.

Glad to hear it Panzer! The key is having it dailed in right for sure. We went riding today putting it to the test and it performed better than it ever has on hills, mud, etc. We didn't have to get a running start on every hill like we normally do.
I do think I can fine tune it just a little more by stepping up the pillow springs one more size. I'll do that at a later date, . The clutch is perfoming better than I thought it would.
If it stays like this and last awhile I'll be happy.

I'm really grateful for all this clutch research, after reading about the results I have already ordered my Dr Pulley Clutch and Variator from BIGE, he said it should be to me by Tuesday. Like everyone already knows , I love my beast!! It has climbed anything I have pointed it at and it will FLY down the road, but I have always been looking for that bottom end wheel spinning power and it sounds like NCWILDMAN has found it for me!! Thanks a ton Wildman, when I get it together I will share my results. With my FMF Factory 4 my buggy seems to have excess power and this new clutch setup should really set it off !!!! Thanks again, Great job

i just got finished installing my dr pulley clutch, it came with all the springs including the green 32 gk spring but not the purple 38 gk spring. craZy came over to the house and helped. When we took the cvt cover off we noticed that the variator had been scrapping the inside of the cover due to the outside width but it has never made a scraping noise since I bought it so It was once assembled wrong before I got it. . The variator width is to narrow on the inside and the belt wont go all the way to the bottom. which causes it to loose lower gearing and lower bottom end. Has anyone noticed there variator scrapping the inside of there cover? I'm waiting on my new dr pulley variator to come in and if it scrapes also I'm going to put a spacer on the inside which will allow the belt to drop all the way to the bottom and I'm gonna take a grinder and grind out the inside of the cover to make room for the extra width and it wont hurt anything because its just an air filter there anyway. Eric is ordering my 38 kg purple spring for me, I called mrp and told them I didn't get it and they said to have BIGE call and they would send it out. The belt should go all the way to the bottom to get the best lowest gearing, that's just how it works. so when I get the 38gk springs and the new variator and get my rear tire fixed I can test it out and be good to go!

craZy and I tried every possible combination on the washers inside and out. The only way it would not scrape was to have them on the outside of it, and with it like that does not allow the belt to go all the way to the bottom for the best gearing. I really cant see how grinding out 1/16th on the inside so I can put a spacer on the inside and allow the belt to bottom out would hurt anything at all. agree?
