I just bought a 250 Joyner and I am about to go out for New Years to Glamis in California which is all soft sand dunes. All of the reviews I've read on here only talk about how they do in hard packed dirt! I really want to know what to expect when I get out there this weekend?

Get a set of and dont try to climb too much and youll be fine. But I ll bet you come back saying this thing NEEDS MORE POWER. Have a great time and let us know how it goes.
Thanks Van

Paddle up on the rear. Any 250 is not going to be a great dune climber so if you are expecting to keep up with the quads you WILL be disappointed. You will be able to get around on the dunes but you will have to pick and choose your way. Keep it in low range.
I live near the St. Anthony Sand Dunes in Idaho and the dunes are about the steepest you will find in the nation. I can have ball with the 06 250 viper. It has the same tranny as the 07 but not as good on the suspension.
There is something that you can do to help on the low end torque and that is replace the stock rollers with some 15 or 17 gram sliders.
