I haven't heard that, but I do know they don't pass emission tests. No green sticker with any of these buggies for you CA folks no matter what you were promised.

Guys; Im bust'n a gut here !!! The Bama Buggy, only to left; Clinton Buggy not very much improved; Love the McCain auto-steer option; & the Bush2 costs an awefull lot for never getting to ride in it... devilville, not sure in my lifetime they ever gonna manufacture the kinda buggy Id be interested in...
Maybe the Jabo Buggy --- always finding shortest, straight line to any destination, advertisments on this model always seem short on wording-but very much to the point, steers you in any direction you'd like to go, never seems to need refueling...

ExtremeKarting---your avatar kept my wife & I rolling w/laughter, now I really got a gut ach...

THE RON PAUL BUGGY COULD HAVE BEEN A NEW WAY TO RIDE , BUT , THE PROTOTYPE DESIGN & THE COMPANY ENTHUSIASM NEVER REALLY TOOK OFF.

The ron paul unit had major manufacture issues and support.. but I must agree, one of the better notions of the home built units... too bad... maybe it's new design was just a little too radical for the old timers...

The McCain buggy seems to have some of the best support out of the three options, however, it does seem more like a bling buggy than a performer....

The Clinton buggy is a recall for sure...

The Obama buggy, just trying to find a dealership around here is becoming an issue! What kinda of post-purchase support do you think will come out f that????

The Obama buggy seems to have developed a problem where the wheels keep falling off! My friend bought that buggy because of the shiny new paint job and didn't notice it was only spot-welded.

The Clinton buggy---even Sam's Club quit selling that one. Can't find a mechanic willing to work on it.

The McCain buggy seems to be having design issues. They can't decide what shape the roll cage should be in, how loud the engine should be and it keeps splattering oil on anyone who will ride in it.

Then there's the Wright buggy. I saw it being towed by the Obama Buggy for quite a while and thought it had broken down. Then, suddenly it starts up and begins rear-ending the Obama Buggy repeatedly, which is how the Obama Buggy's wheels ended up falling off!

Keep a close eye on the Ayers model soon to be released. It is the largest of all the buggies, just seems to have a problem exploding---rumor has it the Obama buggy has already started running at top speed trying to get away from this buggy.....

Oh, the Ron Paul buggy is considered by many to be a new design, because in today's world most people have only ever dreamed of owning one. But the truth is, it is built using the oldest and time tested design of any of the buggies. Yet it manages to have the cleanest emission of all the buggies. It may be short on bells and whistles, but that engine purrs and this buggy can climb any hill, jump any chasm and beat any of these other models to the finish line. Yeah, the design is 232 years old and it was inspired by a few French visionaries, but this buggy is 100% American built with 100% American parts. Sadly, you'll probably have to go to Texas to actually ride one. Look for new revisions tho, because the core design behind this buggy is the strongest and most dependable of any of them. Some guys over at the Cato Institute have been drawing up plans for years and there's a local newspaper in Orange County that has been submitting some pretty amazing new features while reminding future designers of the importance of adhering to that original design.
