dropped a new weber carb on 1st see how that goes

drop in the turbo on top of that

good luck...maybe he is just typing incorrectly but their is no 850 based buggy that we know of.

As Ghost said it's not always about HP, I still feel putting a good pair of shocks all the way around is the first thing everybody should do, it will feel like you added 10HP & allow you 15MPH to your buggy, it allows you to keep that RPM up over rough stuff.
But you are right it's down on power adding a weber DCOE 40 will give you about 10 ponies & a turbo more than double. Putting a turbo on a weber is a little more tricky I am presently trying to set up a draw through system with mine we'll see how that goes. Also you can build the motor up porting & high compression pistons which will pump up the HP (See Ghost's post) Really the best setup would be buying that new 812cc & trans & fabing it into an SS, my 2 cents worth.

If a Joyner, must be the Sand Viper 8oo...
the newer ones have the EFI Cheri 812cc, are slightly heavier than the SS's, but I got to drive Jaxn's & when set up as well as his, they are Awesome !!!

the 650 uses a side draft version (Weber 40DCOE); differant from the downdraft style used on the 8oo's (look up Studio50,s Weber conversion thread).
Both can be had thru Ebay at probably the best prices available...
