I don't have the shine I wanted. I don't think I put enough clear on it, can I clear over it again?

how much clear did you put on it? what type of paint did ya use?

I used Martin Senour Autopaint from NAPA, and I think I went too thin on the 2 coats of clear. I only used about a QT and I had a gallon. I was scared of putting it on too thick... now I wished I did.

you can color sand it with some 600 grit and use water. then you can reclear it. you can also very lightly go over it with the water and 1200 grit and then buff it, but with only two coats you could burn thru it

So do you think that was my problem, not enough clear?

I bought a 12' piece of 2x4 steel tubing for the bumpers. Here is the rear one.

Here it is installed. I painted it for now, when I get the front one done, I will get them powder coated.
